Information for the public safety column comes from public records of the Sandy Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:

ARRESTS

7:12 p.m. March 23; Kevin M. Storelee, 56, of Sandy was arrested in the 38700 block of Pioneer Boulevard under suspicion of assault and menacing. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $15,000 bail.

WARRANTS

7:35 p.m. March 18; Kevin L. Diaz, 21, a transient, was arrested in the 39100 block of Pioneer Boulevard on a Multnomah County warrant for theft. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $1,234 bail.

3:22 p.m. March 20; Michelle L. Simms, 24, of Sandy was arrested in the 38900 block of Pioneer Boulevard on four Clackamas County warrants for possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, criminal trespass and giving false information to an officer. She was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $35,000 bail.

1 p.m. March 20; Tina R. Wilson, 35, of Sandy was arrested in the 17400 block of University Avenue on two Clackamas County warrants for harassment and criminal mischief and a Washington County warrant for theft. She was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $30,000 bail.

1:13 a.m. March 22; Cody Williamson, 23, of Sandy was arrested near Dubarko Road and Ross Avenue on a Clackamas County detainer for violation of his probation. He also was charged with possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail without bail.

1:06 a.m. March 23; Marco A. Martinez-Menchaca, 24, of Sandy was arrested in the 18900 block of Wallingford Avenue on a Clackamas County warrant for theft. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $5,000 bail.

1:06 a.m. March 23; Kellina A. Ramirez, 31, of Sandy was arrested in the 18900 block of Wallingford Avenue on a Clackamas County warrant for trespassing. She was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $5,000 bail.

3:04 p.m. March 24; Danny J. Woodward, 23, of Sandy was arrested in the 38600 block of Proctor Boulevard on a Multnomah County warrant for theft. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $1,234 bail.

THEFT

3:54 p.m. March 18; a man who had parked his pickup near a business in the 16600 block of 362nd Drive reported that while he was in the business someone took one of the center caps on the wheels and loosened two others. Loss value was reported at $50. An investigation is ongoing.

7:07 p.m. March 21; a Sandy resident reported that her son had his tablet computer stolen at Sandy High School earlier that day. The school resource officer is continuing the investigation.

3:25 p.m. March 19; a resident living in the 38800 block of Hood Street reported that someone had used a personal credit card account to purchase items at two locations, totaling more than $546. An investigation is continuing.

MISCELLANEOUS

12:47 p.m. March 18; police arrived at a residence near Jade Glen Avenue and Green Mountain Street to find a vehicle had crashed into a tree. The driver of the driverless car was eventually located. The woman said she had parked the vehicle while she was visiting relatives in the neighborhood and blamed the incident on mechanical failure.

5 p.m. March 22; an apparently abandoned bicycle was found in a city park, and was brought to the police department to determine if it had been stolen. When it was determined that the bicycle had not been reported stolen or lost, it was placed in the police property room for safekeeping until the owner is located.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

11:49 a.m. March 22; a woman, whose vehicle was parked in the 17100 block of Scales Avenue, reported that someone had broken into the vehicle and damaged two tires.
