n A town hall meeting will be held in Sandy at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, in the council chamber at City Hall, 39250 Pioneer Blvd. Present to answer questions about the Legislature and its actions will be state Sen. Chuck Thomsen, R-Hood River.

n A class will be held for women who have been physically or emotionally abused by a current or former partner. n A bereavement support group is forming that will meet in Gresham for five consecutive Mondays beginning April 22. The group is formed as part of Mt. Hood Hospice’s mission to support families after the death of a loved one. There is no cost, but registration is required. n Sandy Assembly Of God Church offers a free dinner at 6 p.m. every third Monday at 39800 Highway 26, Sandy. The church also has its food pantry and clothes closet open those nights. For more information, call 503-668-5589.

Civic groups
