All-night party tickets on sale

Beginning Friday at lunch, buy tickets for Sandy High's all-night party

Parents of senior students at Sandy High School are busy planning the annual all-night grad party that begins immediately after graduation Friday, June 7, and ends in the morning Saturday, June 8.

Parent and committee member Christi Coleman said tickets would go on sale during the lunch periods each Friday from April 26 to the end of the school year. Tickets also will be available at the ticket office beginning May 13 every day during its usual hours.

Coleman also said the committee will need more help from volunteers who can take a shift during the event or offer help prior to its beginning June 7.

The organizing group also is in need of donations to add to the student gifts they are accumulating for the overnight affair.

Donations, she suggested, could be gift cards or cash that could be used to purchase gifts that become prizes in some of the games played at the party.

The Sandy High School senior all-night party allows attendance only by senior students who graduated at commencement ceremonies the night of June 7.

Party organizers are not revealing any information about where the activities will be held or what will happen during the night.

Among volunteers who will call Coleman to offer assistance at the event, she wants to hear from some parents of junior students because they will be organizing the same affair next year.

Volunteers, parents of both senior and junior students, are needed during the day June 7 to help set up the party; some will finish the set up while commencement is ongoing; and others will be chaperones during the party.

“They can have shifts or they can stay all night,” Coleman said, “however long they are available.

“We can use as many parents as are available because there will be between 120 and 150 kids at the party.”
