Police log

Information for the public safety column comes from public records of the Sandy Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:

ARRESTS

2:10 a.m. July 13; Jeremy R. Turin, 34, of Sandy was arrested near Proctor Boulevard and Bruns Avenue under suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $11,000 bail.

WARRANT ARRESTS

10:01 p.m. July 11; Casey J. Joseph, 20, of Sandy was arrested in the 39200 block of Pioneer Boulevard on a Clackamas County warrant for trespass and theft. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $10,000 bail.

8:28 p.m. July 12; James A. Scarlett, 44, of Mesa, Ariz.: was arrested in the 17300 block of Revenue Avenue on a Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $40,000 bail.

CITATIONS

7:41 p.m. July 10; Darren J. Akre, 43, of Sandy was cited and released near Pioneer Boulevard and Meinig Avenue, accused of driving with a suspended driver’s license (misdemeanor).

BURGLARY

6:10 p.m. July 12; a resident of the 14100 block of Baumback Road reported that sometime in the afternoon entered the home through an open window by cutting the screen. Police collected evidence and sent it to the state crime lab for analysis and identification of any suspects.

THEFT

12:01 a.m. July 9; a Gresham woman who works at a business in the 16600 block of 362nd Drive in Sandy reported that her purse had been stolen from her vehicle while she was at work. No suspects were identified.

7:30 a.m. July 10; a woman living in the 17200 block of Revenue Avenue reported that someone had used her debit card at a big box store in Detroit. No suspects were identified.

11:08 a.m. July 12; a man living in the 18100 block of Meinig Avenue reported that someone stole a sign worth $35 from his property. No suspects were identified.

11:15 a.m. July 12; a man living in the 37600 block of Sandy Heights Street reported that someone stole a motorcycle overnight from his driveway (the key was left in the ignition overnight). No suspects were identified, but the case is under investigation.

11:31 a.m. July 12; a woman living in the 19100 block of Wellesley Avenue reported that someone stole two hanging fuchsia plants from her porch during a 24-hour period when she was not at the home. No suspects were identified.

7:52 a.m. July 14; the Boring Fire Department requested assistance on a call about a burned-out truck near Judd and Amisigger roads. The truck had been stolen overnight from the owner’s driveway in the 19000 block of Barrington Avenue. The truck was completely destroyed. No suspects were identified.

11:21 a.m. July 14; a woman lost her wallet containing $80 in cash and a driver’s license the previous night. A man had found the wallet and had given it to police, who took it to the woman. The wallet was missing the $80.

9:09 p.m. July 14; a woman living in the 18000 block of Davis Street reported that someone had used her credit card at a big box store in California. No suspects were identified.

JUVENILES

8:20 a.m. July 9; a 16-year-old boy was reported as a runaway by his mother, who lives in the 38400 block of Pioneer Boulevard.

1:28 a.m. July 13; a 15-year-old girl was located in the 38800 block of Park Street. She was reported too drunk to stand and complaining of feeling too sick to walk. Her mother was located at home, and gave permission for an ambulance to take her to a hospital. The case was referred to the county juvenile department and the department of human services for corrective action for the juvenile and the parent.
