Former Welches man arrested for unlawful possession, delivery of marijuana

A former Welches man was arrested Wednesday morning after an Oregon State Police officer found more than 10 pounds of marijuana in the man's vehicle on Highway 217.
At about 12:41 a.m. Jan. 4, an OSP officer stopped Joshua Christopher King in his 2012 Mazda rental on Highway 217 for a traffic violation.
King, 38, was arrested and lodged in Clackamas County Jail for unlawful possession and delivery of a controlled substance after the officer seized the marijuana found the trunk of King's rental, valued at $25,000.
King previously lived in the Welches area but had no confirmed permanent address.
The OSP drug enforcement section is continuing an investigation.
