A Sandy teen was killed in a snowboarding accident Friday night at Mt. Hood Skibowl.
According to Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Taylur Dewolf, 17, was reported missing at 10:30 p.m. Friday night by her father, who said she had been snowboarding with family and friends at Mt. Hood Skibowl. The teen had not been seen for three hours.
Witnesses said Dewolf had been snowboarding at a very high speed. At 11:05 p.m., Mt. Hood Skibowl ski patrol found Dewolf's body about ten feet off the groomed downhill route named Dog Leg.
An initial investigation showed Dewolf struck a tree at a high speed, causing trauma to her head and chest. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
