Schools plan events for classified employees

Monday, March 3, through Friday, March 7, is Classified School Employees Week. Both Naas Elementary and Kelso Elementary have planned to acknowledge their classified employees with fun events throughout the week.

Naas classified employees not only will enjoy a potluck provided by licensed staff, they will receive treats and letters from classrooms, volunteers and even an “adoptive” member of the licensed staff. They also will have the chance to be “relieved of duty” by a licensed staff member to give them a special break.

Naas Principal Kimberly Brooks said everyone in the school is a critical part of the system to help it function smoothly. Kelso Principal Katie Schweitzer agrees. Kelso’s employees also will have a week full of breakfasts, treats, coffee orders, a hot lunch and much more.
