In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday March 2, the Sandy Public Library is holding an afternoon celebration for kids Saturday, March 8.

The event will be held at 3 p.m. in the community room of the Sandy Public Library, 38980 Proctor Blvd.

The event will feature Portland Clown Duo and children’s entertainers Olive Rootbeer and Dingo.

Olive and Dingo plan to engage the audience in song and movement and balloon sculpture making, and share some of their favorite Dr. Seuss books and memories.

Following the performance by Olive and Dingo, children’s librarian Monica Smith will lead children in a Dr. Seuss craft.
