After getting its restaurant license approved, Sandy’s Bunsenbrewer Brewery, 16506 S.E. 362nd Drive, is now serving food to complement its house-brewed, science-themed beers.

Bunsenbrewer began serving its menu on Thursday, April 3.

Offered items include beer brats, pulled pork sliders and soft pretzels with assorted dipping sauces, including a beer cheese sauce.

Although Bunsenbrewer is still not open to minors, becoming a restaurant is a step in that direction, owner Aaron Hanson said.

The fermentation laboratory, along with the accompanying restaurant, is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
