Police log

Information for the public safety column comes from public records of the Sandy Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:

ARRESTS

11:34 a.m. March 4; Corey S. Fuselier, 23, Sandy, was arrested in the 42700 block of Elsner Road under suspicion of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $50,000 bail.

WARRANTS

11:40 a.m. March 5; Jose Estanislao Garcia, 27, Sandy, was arrested near Highway 26 and Ruben Lane on a Clackamas County warrant for first-degree criminal trespass. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $10,000 bail.

10:17 p.m. March 6; Michelle L. Simms, 27, Sandy, was arrested in the 39800 block of Highway 26 on a Multnomah County warrant for theft. She was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $1,234 bail, then later transported to the Multnomah County Jail.

4:10 p.m. March 8; Michael D. Crane, 30, Sandy, was arrested near Meinig Avenue and Barker Court on a Clackamas County warrants for probation violations for possession of methamphetamine and theft. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail without bail.

IMPAIRED DRIVING

1:12 a.m. March 10; Robert Holowati Jr., 36, Sandy, was arrested near Highway 26 and 362nd Drive under suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He also was cited for driving without a license and making an illegal U-turn. He was transported to the Clackamas County Jail, where he was lodged on $7,500 bail. The vehicle was towed.

THEFT

10:30 a.m. March 7; a woman who was shopping in the 37600 block of Highway 26 reported that someone broke into her locked car between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. the previous day while it was in the store’s parking lot and took her notebook computer.

1:18 p.m. March 9; a man reported to police that someone had taken his wallet from an unlocked locker at the Sandy Aquatic Center the previous day.

12:49 p.m. March 10; a woman who lives in the 37900 block of Highway 26 reported to police that a “friend” took her credit card and used it to pay for an airline flight. The officer called the airline, but he reported that airline personnel would not cooperate.

JUVENILES

11:50 a.m. March 5; a 16-year-old girl at Sandy High School was arrested for possession of marijuana. She was transported to the Clackamas County Juvenile Department for corrective action.

12:10 p.m. March 8; a 16-year-old boy at Sandy High School was arrested for possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Clackamas County Juvenile Department for corrective action.

4:31 p.m. March 8; a male juvenile was reported as a runaway. His name was entered into a national database to help locate him.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

11 a.m. March 4; a U.S. Postal Service employee reported that four clusters of mailboxes had been pried open near Bluff Road and Andrews Street. Replacement cost exceeds $5,000.

6:16 a.m. March 6; sometime between 10 and 11 p.m. the previous night someone crashed into a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 38400 block of Barlow Parkway. The owners told police they didn’t realize it was their vehicle when they heard the crash. Instead, they noticed it the next morning.

12:59 p.m. March 7; at about noon March 7, someone caused damage in the men’s restroom at the Sandy public Library, costing more than $200 to repair.

MISCELLANEOUS

12:12 a.m. March 9; a driver was stopped by a Sandy Police officer but immediately got out of the vehicle and ran for sanctuary and protection inside a home in the 40200 block of McCormick Court.

Since the driver refused to leave the home, the officer wrote the traffic citation, ordered the vehicle to be towed and gave the citation to a family member.
