Information for the public safety column comes from public records of the Sandy Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:
9:11 a.m. May 29; Jesse D. Morris, 33, of Sandy was arrested at his home under suspicion of assault and strangulation. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $15,000 bail.
3:43 p.m. May 27; Alex B. McKeever, 24, of Sandy was arrested in the 39400 block of Gary Street on a Clackamas County warrant for failing to appear on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $40,000 bail.
8:09 p.m. May 30; Phillip J. P. Morgan, 30, of Sandy was arrested near Highway 26 and Ten Eyck Road on a Clark County, Wash., fugitive warrant. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail without bail.
9:06 p.m. June 1; Marco A. Martinez-Menchaca, 25, of Sandy was arrested near Wall Street and Van Fleet Avenue on a Clackamas County warrant for possession of heroin and methamphetamine. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $50,000 bail.
1:13 p.m. May 28; Ariel E. Bartlett, 22, of Sandy was cited and released near Meinig Avenue and Pioneer Boulevard, accused of driving with a suspended drivers license and having no liability insurance. The vehicle was towed.
7:10 p.m. June 1; Gabriel W. Rowland, 29, of Sandy was cited and released near Highway 26 and Langensand Road, accused of having no liability insurance, failing to drive within a lane, having expired license tags on a trailer and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. The vehicle was towed.
10:17 p.m. May 28; a woman reported that her wallet had been stolen while she was in a business in the 16600 block of 362nd Drive. She apparently noticed that the wallet was missing about 20 minutes later, but in that time multiple online purchases already had been made. Police are conducting an investigation.
10:13 a.m. May 29; a Sandy woman reported that prescription medicine and cash had been stolen from her purse while she was in the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in Grapevine, Texas. She didnt notice the theft until the plane was already airborne on its way to Portland, Ore. Sandy police referred the incident to Grapevine police.
10:09 p.m. June 1; a Sandy woman reported that during a garage sale at her home in the 38300 block of Hood Street two boys ages 14-16, one carrying a skateboard, took a large, black leather jacket.
7:19 p.m. May 28; a 15-year-old boy living in the 17000 block of Fir Drive was discovered in possession of more than an ounce of marijuana. He was released to the custody of his parents, but he is being referred to the county juvenile department for corrective action.
4:51 p.m. May 28; someone entered a vehicle parked in the 39500 block of Kimberly Court, causing about $500 damage to the interior.Add a comment
