2011 Regional Spelling Bee

The 8th annual Portland Tribune/Comcast Regional Spelling Bee is open to 4th through 8th grade students attending public, private, alternative and home school programs in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties. Each school or home school group conducts a spelling bee and sends the winner of their bee to compete in the Regional Spelling Bee. The winner of the Regional Spelling Bee is sent to compete, all expenses paid, in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., this June.
This year as many as 68 local school spellers will compete for this opportunity!

The Regional Spelling Bee is free and open to the public; however, donations of school supplies – everything from pencils, paper, binders, crayons, etc. – are encouraged and will be donated to Schoolhouse Supplies.
