The Portland Beavers head to Sacramento after losing three of four games at Fresno to start the Pacific Coast League season.
Former Beaver Justin Leone hit a tying homer and Scott McClain hit a two-out single in the eighth inning as Fresno rallied to win 5-4 Sunday.
Leone tied the score 4-4 with his homer in the sixth inning off reliever Aaron Rakers. Later, McClain stroked the go-ahead hit off reliever Scott Strickland.
Craig Stansberry went 2-for-3 with two walks and an RBI for Portland. Cesar Carrillo had a decent start, retiring 10 of 12 hitters at one point; he allowed six hits and three runs in five innings.
Manager Rick Renteria juggled his lineup, putting Brett Dowdy in center field, Royce Huffman in left field and Pete Laforest at first base.

Former Washington Huskies star Tim Lincecum shined in his Triple-A debut, striking out eight and allowing only two hits in five shutout innings as Fresno beat the visiting Portland Beavers 6-0 Saturday night in Pacific Coast League baseball play.
Patrick Misch and Dan Giese helped complete the three-hit, 13-strikeout shutout.
Lincecum was the parent San Francisco Giants’ No. 1 pick in the 2006 draft. A slight pitcher, he routinely throws in the upper-90s mph, utilizing an efficient and quirky delivery.
Nate Schierholtz went 2-for-4 with a home run for Fresno, making him 7-for-13 with three homers against the Bevos.
Jared Wells, who went 2-9 last year with Portland, took the loss. Tim Stauffer, recovering from an arm injury, made only the fourth relief appearance of his pro career.
The two teams play again at 2 p.m. Sunday with Cesar Carrillo, the parent San Diego Padres’ top pitching prospect, taking the mound for Portland against Erick Threets. The Bevos will travel by bus to Sacramento after the game.
