I would like to highlight the importance of an exciting meal plan in independent retirement living.
Our new executive chef, Stefan Schafer, is a le Cordon Bleu-trained chef with a 21-year culinary career. He decided to move into retirement dining so he could have more of an opportunity for a face-to-face relationship with those he serves for a higher level of hospitality.
King City Senior Village recently moved to a full restaurant-style dining experience, which is so important to our residents, as meal times are often a social highlight of the day.
Rent includes three meals a day and our residents get a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner with some delicious dessert choices (chocolate lava cake anyone?) during our open dining times.
To keep the selection from getting stale, our chef adjusts our menu monthly to reflect seasonal change and to add requested items to the menus. Most of our produce is locally sourced from within 40 miles of King City Senior Village, with our Chef often knowing which farms his ingredients came from.
Our chef, kitchen and dining room staff take pleasure in making sure our residents' dietary needs are met and that meal times are a time for relaxing with friends and Celebrating the Art of Life!
