Three thieves steal television in Tigard robbery, burglary

Tigard Police are looking for three robbers who broke into a home in the 13600 block of Pacific Highway Monday morning.

Police were called to Fir Grove Apartments on Pacific Highway at 7:55 a.m., Monday morning after three suspects broke into one of the apartments.

The three thieves — two men and a woman — reportedly broke into the locked apartment to steal a television set, heavily damaging the apartment's front door.

Few details of the robbery have been made available, but Jim Wolf, a Tigard Police spokesman said that the two men got into an altercation with a young man who was inside the apartment at the time, while the female thief grabbed the television and walked out of the apartment.

The man, who Wolf said was in his late 20s, was the only person at the apartment at the time of the robbery, and sustained minor injuries during the struggle, but did not require medical attention.

A Beaverton Police K-9 team searched the area, but was unable to find the thieves.

Wolf said that the victim did not know the three robbers, and told police he had never seen them before that morning.

Tigard Police investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call 503-639-6168 or via email:
