by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - Police say this car fled the scene shortly after a woman was attacked and robbed at Washington Square, last weekTigard Police are still looking for the man, or group of men, who attacked a 53-year-old woman outside of Washington Square mall, last week.

Police have released surveillance footage of the car of the car, believed to be a getaway vehicle in the robbery and beating.

The woman — who was an employee at the mall — was walking toward Southwest Hall Boulevard through a parking lot at about 9:10 p.m., March 4, near the Walls Fargo Bank branch, 9200 S.W. Washington Square Road, when a man came up from behind and hit her in the head with a blunt object. The woman fell to the ground and the man ran off with the woman’s purse.

A witness called emergency dispatchers and said that the thief may have driven away in a tan sedan similar to a mid-1990s Honda Accord.

Video surveillance shows the suspected vehicle driving away from the mall after the attack.

Police interviewed the witness, Wolf said, but were unable to get a working description of the thief.

The car is believed to have “significant damage” to the rear passenger-side door.

Wolf said that surveillance footage of the car show that others might have been involved in the crime.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, and has since been released.
