A 20-year-old man struck and killed Thursday morning by a Westside Express commuter train in Tigard apparently lay on the tracks in front of the train.
Tigard police said the incident, which happened at about 5:40 a.m., appeared to be a suicide.
Police said the northbound commuter train left the Tigard Transit Center only moments before the accident. The incident occurred about two blocks from the transit center in the right of way under the 99W bridge.
