Tualatin hosts centennial geocache event

To celebrate 100 years as a city, Tualatin invites the public on a geocaching adventure.

Treasure-hunters are invited to grab their smartphones, or any other GPS-equipped devices, and head to the Community Services Building at Tualatin Community Park, on Aug. 3 at 9 a.m. Geocaching forms will be handed out at a quick meet and greet, and participants who complete the challenge will receive a geocache coin.

Completed geocache forms can be turned in until Aug. 5.

Geocaching is a modern-day, high-tech scavenger hunt that involves using geocache coordinates to located secret codes, which are then logged and recorded.

The Tualatin event was organized by Bev Mills.
