Sherwood High School closed after burst pipe
Sherwood High School is closed Monday, due to water damage after a burst pipe. Evening activities will be held as scheduled. All other Sherwood schools open as usual, as are Tigard-Tualatin schools.
According to the Sherwood School District, water damage was found at the school on Sunday, Dec. 8, after two pipes froze and burst.
Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue assisted with removal of the water and cleanup, however due to the water damage to the building and inoperable heating units in parts of the building, staff decided to cancer school for the day.
School is expected to resume on Tuesday.
