SWAT raids home near Tigard school

Washington County SWAT teams raided a residence near a Tigard elementary school early Friday morning, according to The Times' news parter, KOIN Local 6.

Sgt. Bob Ray, a spokesman with the sheriff’s office, said the county's Tactical Negotiations Team assisted in an arrest at a home near Southwest Grant Avenue and Walnut Street at about 4:30 a.m.

Andres Miranda, 32, was arrested at the home and charged with unlawful delivery and possession of marijuana.Miranda

Ray said the county team assisted in the arrest because of reports that Miranda might have been armed at the time of his arrest.

Ray said although the arrest happened near Charles F. Tigard Elementary School, there was no risk to anyone in the neighborhood.

Ray would not release any additional information about the case, citing the ongoing investigation.
