Police seek accused rapist
Officials ask public to aid in search for suspect.
Tigard Police are searching for a man accused of raping a 9-year-old girl.
A grand jury recently indicted David Pasiemiak, 46, on 15 counts of sexual abuse, according to Jim Wolf, a spokesman with the Tigard Police Department. The charges include several counts of rape, though Wolf would not be more specific.
His bail is set at $3.75 million, Wolf said.
Wolf said that the abuse began in 2009 when the girl was 9 years old. Pasiemiak reportedly knew the victim and Wolf said that the abuse lasted for two years.
Tigard Police began an investigation into Pasiemiak in early October 2013. Wolf described the four-month-long investigation as extensive.
When officers went to make an arrest in the case, they were unable to locate Pasiemiak.
Pasiemiak does not have a permanent address, Wolf said, but is known to frequent Tigard, Beaverton and Southwest Portland. Wolf asked for the public to report any sightings of Pasiemiak to police.
He is described as a white man, weighing about 160 pounds and standing 5-feet-9-inches call. He has shaggy gray hair and possibly facial hair.
Crime Stoppers is offer a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
