Krisanna Clark throws hat in Sherwood mayoral ring

City councilor was elected in 2010

Sherwood City Council member Krisanna Clark announced her intent to run for mayor in the November election.

Clark made the announcement Monday morning in a press release.

“I feel we are at a crossroads in Sherwood, and it is time for positive, accountable government that focuses on community and service,” Clark said in a news release. “Fiduciary responsibility, accountability, collaborative community and smart business growth planning will be my focus as your mayor.”

Clark is the second person to announce their intent to run for the mayor's seat. In January, City Council President Linda Henderson said that she would run for mayor after Mayor Bill Middleton announced he would not seek re-election.

Clark holds a bachelor of science degree from Willamette University, having double majored in both business economics and English. She has been a small business owner and an aerobics instructor, certified by the American Council on Exercise. In addition, Clark has 10 years of experience in risk management, contract review and negotiation in the field of insurance claims.

She serves on numerous groups and committees throughout the city.
