Young Art to open in Bridgeport


The Tigard company opened its first store at Washington Square earlier this year.Just a week after Bridgeport Village announced that it would be opening six new stores this fall, the outdoor shopping mall has landed another tenant.

Young Art Lessons, a children's art store and studio which opened its first location at Washington Square mall earlier this year, announced on Thursday that it would open its second store this fall at Bridgeport Village.

The new store offers “drop-in” art lessons for children, showing them how to make works of art using oil pastels, watercolors, acrylics and colored pencils in sessions that can range from 30 minutes to several hours.

“Young Art opened to an enthusiastic reception at Washington Square mall earlier this year, and now looks forward to providing an educational venue for patrons of Bridgeport Village to bring their children while they shop, dine, or watch a movie at the theatre,” the company said in a statement.

Where: 7441 S.W. Bridgeport Road, Tualatin

Hours: Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

How much: Classes start at $15 for 30 minutes and $25 for hour-long lessons.
