Two well-qualified candidates are running for Position 2 on the Tualatin City Council.

Both incumbent Monique Beikman and challenger Jan Giunta have deep community roots and extensive volunteer experience. However, we see no reason to replace Beikman, who has represented her community well during her service on the council.

Beikman wants to continue with her priorities, which include enhancing communication between the city and its citizens and expanding recreational opportunities in Tualatin.

Her opponent also emphasizes citizen involvement and issues of livability, but we believe Beikman has done a good job on the council and deserves another term. Tualatin voters should give Monique Beikman their support.
