Tables available for garage sale and benefit

Sherwood’s fourth annual “Simplify Sale” begins Saturday.

The Simplify Sale runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 13691 S.W. Morgan Road, in Sherwood.

The sale, which event organizers say was “created to help disorganized people declutter” is a yard sale-turned-faith-based charity fundraiser.

“Our goal is to get the entire community involved in giving back and getting to know the good work of these charities,” said Vicki Norris, president of Restoring Order, a professional organizing company that has put on the annual sale since 2009. “Not everyone can write a check to charities right now, but everyone has clutter.”

Leftover items that are not sold will go to three local charities: Love In the Name of Christ of Tigard, Tualatin and Sherwood; Pregnancy Resource Centers and the Union Gospel Mission of Portland.

“You can feel good getting to know the recipients of your goods and walk away with a tax-deductible receipt and EMPTY CAR!” Norris wrote on her website.

The day-long community yard sale features live music and a barbecue.
