Authors hold court at Jans Paperbacks

Delilah Marvelle and Jean Sheldon will entertain readers at Aloha bookstore

Jan's Paperbacks is hosting a multi-author book signing on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the store's Aloha location at 18095 S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway.

Historical romance author Delilah Marvelle and mystery author Jean Sheldon will be available to greet customers and sign copies of their novels. All are welcome.

Marvelle has just released the second book in her Rumor series, "Forever a Lady." In the book, Bernadette Marie Burton may be the richest widow in England, but like her dreams of finding true passion, her reputation is deteriorating. Cruel gossip, loneliness and hoards of opportunistic suitors have her believing society couldn't be more vile — or dangerous. So when an attacker threatens her life, she finds safety in the most unseemly of places: the arms of a mysterious, Irish-American gang leader.

Sheldon’s most recent novel is "Monet’s Palette." In the book, Rayna Hunt, an artistic, passionate soul, has a good sense of humor and a great outlook on life. When an accident crushes the hand that guides her brush, she loses more than her ability to paint. Using settlement money from the accident, Rayna buys a small warehouse and converts it into a classroom studio and a home for her and her daughter. For three years, she teaches others to paint and ignores the reality that without the color and light she lives to create, her spirit grows thin. Her daughter recognizes the emotional devastation and begins a successful crusade to convince her to paint. As she retrains the damaged hand, Rayna finds her quiet life disrupted again when she becomes a suspect in a forgery case.

Refreshments will be available as well as a free gift to all those who purchase one or more of the featured authors’ books. The community is invited to join in for an afternoon of fun.
