Are you a senior who needs yard help?

Key Club students will complete tasks during Saturday work party

The Tigard High School Key Club, which is affiliated with Kiwanis International, is planning to clean up seniors’ yards in the King City and Summerfield area on Saturday as a community service project.

All seniors have to do is call with a list of chores, such as raking, weeding, planting or spreading bark chips.

Tigard High students already have endeared themselves to local seniors by hanging their outdoor Christmas lights in December and taking them down in early January the past several years. The work party is scheduled between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and if more seniors call than can be accommodated in one day, a second Saturday will be set aside for the work.
