TOP PERFORMANCES

n JEREMY MOORE, Tigard: The 2012 Tigard High School graduate was a force for the South team from his defensive tackle spot, helping the squad post a 21-0 win over the North at the Les Schwab Bowl, a high school all-star football game played Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium.

In the win, Moore was in on a pair of quarterback sacks as well as two other tackles for losses. He also ended up playing some at offensive tackle in the second half due to an injury.

NEWS IN BRIEF

n BIGLOW EARNS SOFTBALL HONOR: Chelsea Biglow, a 2010 Tigard High School graduate and a sophomore on the Colorado State University softball team, earned first-team All-Mountain West Conference honors for her play in the 2012 season.

Biglow, who plays at third base for the Rams, hit for a .389 batting average in conference play with three home runs, 11 RBIs and a .694 slugging percentage.

For the season, Biglow had a team-high 45 RBIs and tied for the team lead with nine home runs.

n SHERWOOD GIRLS SOCCER CAMP: The coaching staff at Sherwood High School will be conducting two soccer camps for young players and incoming high school players this summer.

The first camp will be held July 23-26, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. each day at the stadium field at the high school. That camp will be for girls from kindergarten through fifth grade. High school players will help coach at this camp.

The second camp will be for players from eighth grade through high school. It will be held Aug. 13-16, from 9 to 11 a.m. each day at the stadium field at the high school.

The cost of each camp is $65 and includes a t-shirt if registration is received by July 15.

WHAT'S AHEAD

n TUALATIN OIBA TOURNAMENT: The Tualatin-based Suburban Door OIBA baseball team will be hosting the seventh-annual Suburban Door Tournament Friday through Sunday at Tualatin High School.

Among the other teams scheduled to play in the tournament are Aloha, Gig Harbor, Wash., Lake Oswego, North Salem, the Salem Senators, Sherwood and Southridge.
