Tigers put up big totals in 86-37 win over Hillsboro

TIGARD — A lot of points.

A lot of yards. A lot of players seeing a lot of action. And another big Tigard win.

The Tigard High School football team remained perfect in Pacific Conference play by rolling to an 86-37 win over Hillsboro in a league contest played last Thursday at Tigard High School.

Hillsboro dropped to 0-5 in league games and to 0-7 on the season with the setback.

League-leading Tigard improved to 5-0 in Pacific Conference contests and to 6-1 on the season with the victory.

Tigard, which has shown all season that it has a potent rushing attack, turned to its passing game in the victory over the Spartans.

Three Tiger quarterbacks — junior Jett Even, senior Brad Davis and sophomore JT Greenough combined to complete 15 of 26 pass attempts for 464 yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions. Even, Tigard’s starting QB, completed nine of 12 passes for 221 yards and three scores.

The touchdown passes went to six different receivers.

In fact, nine different Tigard players scored touchdowns on the night.

Senior running back Zach Floyd, in limited action, had three touchdowns. He had an 11-yard touchdown run on his only carry of the night. He had a 55-yard touchdown catch from Even on his only reception of the night and he had a 49-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Junior running back Justin Alvarizares rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the contest. Juniors Bradley Imai and Manu Rasmussen each added a TD run.

Junior Bruin Campbell, senior Kaz Greene, junior Ryan Cleveland, senior Anthony Consolo and senior Mohammed Hejazi each had a touchdown reception.

Alvarizares was Tigard’s leading rusher in the contest with 135 yards on 11 carries. Imai added 40 yards on eight carries.

Campbell was the Tigers’ top receiver with three catches for 128 yards, including a 71-yard TD pass from Davis.

Greene had two catches for 74 yards, including a 52-yard TD catch from Even.

For the Tigard defense, senior lineman Cain Adams had two and a half quarterback sacks and five total tackles for losses in the win. Alvarizares had an interception and Davis recovered a Hillsboro fumble.
