The Hawks will face Dayton in a tiebreaker tilt Saturday

TUALATIN — The Horizon Christian High School boys basketball team finished off its West Valley League regular season schedule in impressive fashion.

The Hawks soared to a 78-32 win over Willamina in a WVL finale played Friday at Horizon Christian High School.

Willamina ended league play with 1-13 mark in WVL games and an overall record of 2-22. Horizon Christian finished the West Valley League season with a 13-1 record (21-2 overall), putting the Hawks in a tie with Dayton for first place in the final league standings.

Horizon Christian and Dayton will have a league playoff tiebreaker game Saturday, starting at 7 p.m. at Sherwood High School.

Senior forward Michael Loomis led the way for the Hawks in the win over Willamina with 24 points on a 10-for-13 shooting night from the field. Loomis also had six rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Senior Calvin Anderson added 14 points and four assists. Sophomore David Parsons had nine points. Sophomore guard Trent Pihas and junior post Isaiah Hall each scored eight. Hall also pulled down 10 rebounds.
