Tigard is fifth at the Pacific Conference golf tournament

NORTH PLAINS — Another league tournament, another win for the Tualatin High girls golf team.

The Timberwolves, who have triumphed at every Pacific Conference tournament so far this season, picked up another victory Tuesday as they reigned supreme at the conference event held at Pumpkin Ridge.

Tualatin took the top spot at the tourney with a team score of 394 strokes.

That put the Wolves well ahead of second-place Forest Grove, which had a score of 442.

Junior Hayley Mortensen led the way for Tualatin at the tourney with a score of 82. That put her in second place in the individual standings, one stroke behind tourney medalist Hannah Swanson of Forest Grove, who shot an 81.

Tualatin sophomore Bridget Nolan placed fifth with a score of 98. Also for the Wolves, Aidan Grealish shot a 106, Mandy Pozo carded a 108 and Cheri Luikart had a round of 113.

Tigard placed fifth in the team standings with a score of 534.

Sooji Kim paced the Tigers at the tourney with a round of 99, which placed her sixth in the individual standings.

Also for Tigard, Erin Heath shot a 139. Megan Liles and Molly Davis each shot a 148.

The next Pacific Conference tournament will be held Monday, starting at 10 a.m., at Tualatin Country Club.
