BEAVERTON — Ben White, a Tigard High School senior-to-be, had turned in quite a performance over two weeks of soccer competition.

White scored a tota of 11 goals while also dishing off six assists in nine games during play at the Adidas Beaverton Cup, held July 19-21, and the San Diego Surf Cup Tournament, held the following SUBMITTED PHOTO - SOCCER CHAMP -- Tigard High School senior-to-be Ben White scored 11 goals in five games at the Adidas Beaverton Cup.

White, guest playing for the Westside Timbers Copa U-18 club, scored 11 goals in five game in helping his team win the championshp at the Beaverton Cup, which was held at the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District center and other venues.

White guest played again for the Westside Timbers club at the San Diego Surf Cup, which is considered to be one of the most competitive youth soccer tournaments in the nation.

White, who played for the Portland Timbers Youth Academy team last year, will try out and compete for a spot on the squad again this year.
