Tualatin moves to 6-2 in league play with the victory

The Tualatin High School girls basketball team bounced back from a setback in impressive style.

The Timberwolves, after falling 29-21 to Glencoe on Friday, came back to post a 55-41 win over Forest Grove in a Pacific Conference game played Tuesday at Tualatin High School.

With the win, Tualatin improved to 6-2 in conference play (11-5 overall), putting the Wolves in a tie with Glencoe for second place in the standings.

Senior post Jasmine Miller led the way for Tualatin in Tuesday’s victory with 16 points, 10 coming in the second half.

Senior post Savannah Heugly added 11 points and senior wing Madi Hall sank three three-point baskets for nine points.

Forest Grove senior post Kaitlin Jamieson led all scorers with 21 points.

In the loss to Glencoe, Heugly led Tualatin with 10 points and Miller added six.

The Wolves will be back in action Friday when they face rival Tigard in a Pacific Conference game set to start at 5:45 p.m. at Tigard High School.

The Tigers are in first place in the conference standings at 8-0.

On Tuesday, Tualatin will play at Newberg at 6:45 p.m.
