A bomb scare turned out to be forgotten shopping items at Woodburn Premium Outlets Friday.
According to Woodburn Police Department, they received a call on Friday at 6:08 p.m. from Max Studio, a store at Woodburn Premium Outlets, about a suspicious package that was left on the premises.
Woodburn police called in the Oregon State Police Bomb Squad to investigate the package.
The bomb squad took a picture of the suspicious package and determined it to be store-bought items.
Police were able to locate the owner of the package, who came and picked up the items.
Several stores at the north end of the outlet mall were closed and evacuated. Police cleared the scene at 8:45 p.m.
The Woodburn Police Department would like to remind the public to keep all of their belongings with them while shopping, or take them out to their vehicles, especially items wrapped in boxes that could cause alarm if left unattended.
