Nearly one year after Silverton Health transformed Woodburn Health Center into a multifaceted health care facility, it opened a retail pharmacy Jan. 20.
While the pharmacy will serve Silverton Health and WHC patients, the pharmacy is open to the public. Pharmacy days and hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will be closed Sundays.
Woodburn Health Center offers a number of services under one roof and the pharmacy brings just one more convenience to our community, said Rick Cagen, Silverton Healths CEO in a press release.
Staffing the pharmacy will be pharmacists Steve Evans, Rachael Hills and Alicen Sinn and pharmacy technician, Rob Beierle, all of whom have worked at Silverton Hospital and know the communities as well as many residents of Woodburn, Mount Angel and the surrounding area. Plans are to bring in additional pharmacy technicians.
We are all very excited to be here and look forward to serving the community, said Evans in the press release. One of the great advantages to having all of these medical services in one building is that as pharmacists, we have access to necessary records and can coordinate patient care with the physicians. We are part of the health care team.
The services found within the 90,000-square-foot health center include Woodburn Family and Internal Medicine, Woodburn Immediate Care, Woodburn Specialist Center and Woodburn Surgical Center.
Other services include intensive cardiac rehabilitation, health management, physical therapy and rehabilitation and business health services.
Woodburn Health Center is located at 1475 Mount Hood Ave.
