by: OREGON STATE POLICE - Responders arrive at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 213 Tuesday morning that involved a Woodburn woman.A Woodburn woman caused a serious-injury accident on Highway 213 Tuesday after her sport utility vehicle crossed the center line.

Sharon Zimmerman, 73, was driving a 2003 Cadillac SUV while towing a trailer around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound Chevrolet pickup near South Greentree Drive. After impact, the trailer detached and came to a rest on the side of the highway.

Zimmerman was transported by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center with serious injuries. The pickup's driver, 19-year-old Briana Lee, of Oregon City, was transported by ground ambulance to Oregon Health & Sciences University with non-life-threatening injuries. Both were wearing safety restraints.

The accident caused the road to be closed for nearly three hours.

Oregon State Police, with the help of Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Clackamas Fire District and Oregon Department of Transportation, assisted at the scene and continues the investigation into the cause of the accident.
