OSAA recognizes academic teams

Husky boys cross country leads all 4A teams

The Dairy Farmers of Oregon Academic All-State awards were presented this month, and a number of teams in northern Marion County were recognized for their achievements in the classroom.

The boys and girls teams in each OSAA-sanctioned activity with the highest team grade point average (GPA) earn the Academic All-State Award. The North Marion boys cross country team led all 4A teams with a 3.82 G.P.A., and each member of the team received a “Got milk?” sweatshirt, a commemorative pin and a certificate. The school also received a plaque in honor of its team.

Teams that fielded grade point averages among the top 10 in their sport and classification are also recognized with a commemorative pin by the Dairy Farmers of Oregon and the OSAA. Teams that achieved GPAs above 3.0 were also recognized on the OSAA website and are listed below.
