The North Marion boys basketball team rallied from losing three games in four nights to pick up a 52-51 victory over the Regis Rams in the team’s final regular-season game of 2013.

The Huskies (3-3) entered Saturday afternoon’s game against Regis less than a day removed from dropping a 10-point contest to the Western Mennonite Pioneers in the second round of the North Marion Holiday Classic.

North Marion now enters a two-week break for the holidays before the team hits a three-game road swing to begin 2014, starting with a Jan. 3 game at La Pine High School.

After the Trojans lost their first three games of the season by a combined 11 points, the team has turned things around, winning four games in the span of one week.

On Dec. 17, Kennedy handed Central Linn (5-1, 0-1) their only loss of the year, breaking a string of eight straight losses to Cobras, dating back to the 2008-09 season.

The Trojans followed by beating East Linn Christian (2-4, 0-1) by 16 points to snap a streak of 10 straight losses to the Eagles over the past five years.

Kennedy travels to St. Paul this weekend to take part in the St. Paul Holiday Tournament.
