For the third consecutive year, dedicated athletes in the North Marion School District have come out to brave the July heat and participate in the annual Husky Boot Camp.
The three-week summer workout sessions is hosted by football coach Doug Bilodeau with assistance from coaches Trevor Bailie, Ben Bonser and Jared Wilson.
Betweeen heavy drinks of water, campers run through a variety of exercise drills designed to test their endurance and build athleticism.
The workouts start light in the beginning, but slowly increase in intensity as the program builds throughout the weeks.
The first day we go pretty light, Bilodeau said. That first morning after, theyre struggling to get out of bed.
