SUBMITTED PHOTO - The Blue Heron Chapter of National Charity League Inc., (NCL) recently honored its senior class with a gathering for families at Waverly Country Club.  The young women were recognized for the volunteer work they accomplished during their six years involved in NCL. They set a goal to contribute twice the required volunteer hours during their last two years and most accomplished that goal. In all, the group volunteered more than 3,000 hours during their membership years.  In addition to the philanthropic work, the group of mothers and daughters focused on developing leadership and personal strength through activities such as self-defense, stress relief strategies, business etiquette, professional development and effective group management.
