Lake Oswego abstract impressionist Lynne Wintermute is showing a selection of her work at Johnstone Financial Advisors through June 22. Wintermute describes the paintings as an exploration of color as it relates to the landscape. It is a dynamic, intuitive process as each painting evolves and changes, giving lift to something completely unexpected. The creative power of the subconscious mind is brought to the surface as the space is energized with texture and bold color, she says. Johnstone Financial Advisors, located at 334 Third St. in Lake Oswego, is a boutique financial services company that provides individualized financial planning and investment advice for people of all ages and income levels. In support of the arts, the company exhibits the work of four local artists a year in its downtown building.
