New charity added to Auto Show party
A new foundation dedicated to preserving the stories of Oregon World War II veterans will benefit from the 2018 Portland International Auto Show, scheduled at the Oregon Convention Center for Jan. 25 to 28.
Veterans Legacies has been added as the eighth beneficiary of the Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party held at the show on the evening before it opens on Wednesday, Jan. 24. They foundation is identifying all WWII veterans from Oregon and working on a program where high school students interview and write up the stories of those who are still alive.
The seven previous charities that will continue to benefit from next year's party are: Boys & Girls Clubs of Oregon; Brian Grant Foundation; the Dougy Center, JDRF, Meals on Wheels People, SEI, and the Victory Academy. The $100 ticket is tax deductible and is automatically entered into a drawing for new 2018 Audi A3 donated by Audi of Beaverton.
The preview parties have raised millions of dollars for the charities in the last few years.
