Cheerleaders take home top honors at national championship

First-place finish came as part of Portland-based StyleShock team

Four West Linn residents — three from West Linn High School and one from Rosemont Ridge Middle School — were part of the StyleShock Wired cheerleading team that won first place at the National Cheerleading Association National Championship in Dallas, Texas, back in March.

Megan Moore, Sophia Eaton, Ashley Jones and Emily Foushee helped the Portland-based team win top honors in the Level 4 Small Senior Coed Small Gym category with a score of 77.79 — enough to edge out a team from Pflugerville, Texas.

Moore and Eaton took home top honors in the same competition back in 2011.
