Honor teachers with a donation

The West Linn-Wilsonville Education Foundation announces the return of its Honor Our Teachers holiday gift fundraising campaign. The campaign will run through Dec. 16.

Visit the foundation website at to make a donation in your favorite teacher’s name. Teachers who are honored with a donation will receive a certificate they can post in their classrooms and a letter listing the families who donated in their honor. Donations must be received before Dec. 16 for honored teachers to receive their certificates and letters.

All tax-deductible HOT donations will be included in the foundation’s annual gift to the West Linn-Wilsonville School District. Over the past two years, the foundation has provided the district with $400,000 to be used to preserve effective class sizes throughout the school district.

Donations may be sent to your child’s school or mailed to the foundation at 1980 Willamette Falls Drive, 120-117, West Linn, OR 97068.

Cross gifts off your list at Trillium Creek book fair

Trillium Creek Primary School is hosting a book fair the week of Dec. 2. The fair will be open Monday through Wednesday until 3:30 p.m. and will stay open until 7 p.m. Dec. 5. The book fair will close at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 6.

The school has added a new element to the book fair this year. Cash donations are being accepted at the register and will be used to purchase books that will be donated to the West Linn Food Pantry. Students from Trillium Creek will shop the book fair using the donated funds, selecting titles they think other children would enjoy. The food pantry will distribute the books to families receiving holiday food baskets.
