Old Time Fair princesses visit city council
The eighth-grade girls comprising the West Linn Old Time Fair princess court were recently honored.
The mayor of West Linn, John Kovash, read a proclamation honoring and congratulating this year’s princesses and last year’s queen for their service and hard work during the July 9 city council meeting.
“You have been our ambassadors and we appreciate your service to West Linn,” Kovash told the girls.
The 2011 queen was Sara Gowdy. This year’s princesses are Jori Monihan, Avery Lawrence, Olivia Steele, Bobbi O’Brien and Leah Olson.
“Every girl that applied is a winner. I think you should be real proud of these young ladies,” Kovash said.
The 2012 Old Time Fair queen will be announced Friday, July 20, at Willamette Park at 6 p.m. as the kickoff to the weekend of events.
