About 80 people attended the filled-to-capacity event, held at the West Linn Adult Community Center.

The evening’s theme was “Down in New Orleans” and daddy-daughter pairs enjoyed New Olreans-themed cooking, a dance floor, crafts and keepsake photos. Dancing with the city’s four Old Time Fair princesses may have been the highlight of the evening for many young attendees.

West Linn Recreation Coordinator Terri Jones credited an unseen volunteer workforce with the evening’s success. At least a dozen National Charity League volunteers worked behind the scenes, assisting with cooking, decorating, serving, cleaning up and more, Jones said.
