Another water main break left up to 20 homes temporarily without water in West Linn on March 22.
A rotten saddle on a pipe running along Apollo Drive caused reports of dirty water, low pressure and no water service in the Hidden Springs-Rosemont Summit neighborhoods. The break was reported at about 7:30 a.m.
Crews replaced the saddle and conducted a routine antibacterial treatment to ensure drinking water is safe. Residents were without water for a couple of hours that morning.
According to Kirsten Wyatt, assistant city manager, the city has already replaced half of the saddles in this neighborhood, and unless the other saddles are accessed and replaced, more water main breaks will likely occur.
