The West Linn Public Library's first Kindergarten Carnival featured a photo booth, balloon animals, free books and a raffle for an array of prizes.

TIDINGS PHOTOS: VERN UYETAKE - Lucy and Keith Morris enjoy balloon animals. It's not every day that the words "carnival" and "library" can be credibly used together, but that was the case Thursday, Oct. 5, as the West Linn Public Library hosted its first annual "Kindergarten Carnival."

Kids were invited to sign up for a library card, meet librarians and receive a token for $5 off of late fines. More importantly, the event also featured a photo booth, balloon animals, free books and a raffle for an array of prizes.
