THEFTS

4/13 11:53 a.m. A burglary was reported at Sabo Lane.

4/15 12:37 p.m. A thief was apprehended at Market of Choice on the 5600 block of Hood Street.

4/16 9:07 a.m. Coins, a flashlight and a black track phone were stolen from a vehicle on the 2300 block of Athena Road.

4/16 1:33 p.m. An iPad was stolen from a home at the 1700 block of Dollar Street.

4/17 7:22 p.m. A theft was reported at the 6400 block of Horton Road.

4/17 8:51 p.m. A man left the West Linn Saloon without paying for his tab.

FRAUD

4/12 11:58 a.m. A fraudulent check was sent to a resident.

4/14 10:50 a.m. A man reported that his son’s Social Security number was used to file someone else’s taxes.

4/14 2:28 p.m. A woman’s Social Security number was used to file someone else’s taxes.

4/15 3:51 p.m. A resident’s Social Security number was used to file someone else’s taxes.

4/15 4:07 p.m. A resident’s Social Security number was used to file someone else’s taxes.

ACCIDENTS

4/12 5:48 p.m. A traffic accident was reported at 10th Street and Salamo Road.

4/12 5:58 p.m. Two vehicles collided at Barrington Drive and Salamo Road.

4/15 12:06 p.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported at the 1800 block of Blankenship Road.

4/17 3:20 p.m. A traffic accident was reported at Hood Street and Willamette Drive.

LIFE IN WEST LINN

4/12 2:12 a.m. A man was hearing music and said he felt like he was on drugs. He also said a woman was hyperventilating.

4/12 9:29 a.m. A homeowner was refusing to sign paperwork for repairs done at a residence.

4/12 11:12 a.m. A transient camp was seen along a trail at the 22300 block of Clark Street.

4/12 2:02 p.m. Gunshots were heard near 5th Avenue and 9th Street.

4/12 5:44 p.m. A window was shot out at the 6000 block of Failing Street.

4/12 7:01 p.m. The driver of a tan Subaru at Highway 43 and Interstate 205 was seen smoking pot from a bong.

4/12 8:43 p.m. Six used condoms were found near the playground at Rosemont Ridge Middle School.

4/12 9:19 p.m. A suspicious person pounded on the door and shined a laser light through a window at a home on the 6400 block of Palomino Way.

4/12 9:43 p.m. Three teens walking toward Palomino Park were suspected of being involved in the laser incident (above). Police determined they were innocent.

4/13 10:35 a.m. A suspicious person holding a cardboard sign was seen at the 5600 block of River Street. When confronted, he said he was “just wandering around.”

4/14 6:01 a.m. A resident was using a loud air compressor to clean a building at the 22700 block of Salamo Road.

4/14 8:20 a.m. A man was seen laying on the curb at Grove Street and Holly Street.

4/14 1:54 p.m. A man found tools in his basement and did not know where they came from. He was concerned they were stolen items he read about in the West Linn Tidings.

4/14 7:41 p.m. A man was acting strangely for several hours at the 7-11 on the 19100 block of Willamette Drive. Police sent him home.

4/15 1:53 p.m. A suspicious man who smelled heavily of alcohol was walking with a Walkman at Mary S. Young Park.

4/15 5:25 p.m. Multiple skateboarders were riding in the middle of Cheryl Drive, nearly resulting in a car collision.

4/16 2:06 a.m. A woman reported hearing voices in her backyard. Officers found a group of coyotes in a park, but no people.

4/16 8:51 a.m. A woman was jogging at Mary S. Young when she saw a man emerge from the bushes. She felt like he was “going to come after her.”

4/16 9:25 a.m. A teen was observed sleeping on the trail at Wilderness Park. He said he was skipping school and “appeared stressed.”

4/16 10:10 a.m. A man was pounding on the window of a car at Skyline Drive and West A Street.

4/16 11:05 a.m. A suspicious-acting woman was seen taking pictures of homes at Barlow Street and Randall Street from her car. She said she was interested in one of the homes for sale.

4/16 2:21 p.m. A suspicious-acting man was standing in a resident’s driveway with papers in his hands.

4/16 9:40 p.m. A suspicious-acting man wearing dark clothing with a hood over his head was seen standing in the rain near Crescent Drive and Ponderay Drive.

4/17 5:45 a.m. Screaming and banging sounds were heard coming from an apartment. Officers checked the scene and all was quiet.

4/17 8:55 a.m. A suspicious tan vehicle was spotted in the gravel lot near a shed at Mary S. Young Park.

4/17 9:46 a.m. Several aerosol cans were found in garbage cans near Bolton Primary School. A resident was concerned they were stolen from the school and used for huffing.

4/17 11:24 a.m. A man said a woman attacked him and sent her pitbull after him.

4/17 3:39 p.m. A stolen boat was found at the 19100 block of Nixon Avenue.

4/17 8:17 p.m. A woman in a gold Caravan was “hanging around” near the 4100 block of Calaroga Court, then knocked on a resident’s door.
