by: ROBERTA SCHWARZ - Children and adults alike enjoyed Festival at the Farm, a fundraiser for the West Linn White Oak Savanna. The third annual Festival at the Farm was a fun and successful event. We made about $600 this year.

We would like to thank the Fiala family for hosting this great annual event to benefit the White Oak Savanna. We are very grateful to the Lion’s Club for making an outstanding contribution to the festival by barbecuing some great burgers and veggie options. We also want to thank Allium Bistro for the delicious food demo booth.

Thanks to the volunteers who helped with parking and serving up the Allium food: Krystie, Austin and the cheerleaders from Tualatin High School (“Give me a T”).

A big thank you also to the three wonderful musical acts: What Four (the barbershop quartet from the West Linn Community Choir), Jack Norby on guitar and vocals and John on harmonica and Bobby Stewart on keyboards. They added so much to the day with their wonderful music.

Thanks to the local paper for supporting the festival by making us an offer we couldn’t refuse on the half page, full color ad.

Last, but certainly not least, our appreciation to the gifted artists and crafts people who had some of the best vendor booths we have ever seen.

Thanks to all who came and enjoyed the day with us.

And for those who could not attend, I hope that you will join us next year.

You are a wonderful community of people.
